Emma-Kate Guimond is a performance artist, thinker, and writer. In Spring 2023, her essay Michael Martini: Word Play and Roleplay was published in Revue Espace’s issue Porn-o. As a performer, she has presented multiple times in Montreal and across Canada, including at VIVA! Art Action, where she performed My Dog for the Duration of a Cigarette in 2019. Recent collaborative involvements include playing the mother in Michael Martini’s Landscape Grindr (2023), being a creative ally for Joe, Jack & John’s production Le magasin ferme (2021), and driving a car alongside dance artist Deanna Peters/Mutable Subject in Charégraphie at Festival Furies in Gaspésie (2021). From 2009-2017 she was part of the feminist performance collective WIVES. In January 2024, she will present her recent film The Plot at Centre Clark in Montreal.
