This performance has been cancelled. Denys Blacker is a transdimensional artist whose practice spans performance art, drawing, photography, sculpture, and video. She has lived and worked in Spain since 1987, and has shown her work internationally for over 40 years. She is co-founder of the all-women performance group Ocells al Cap (“Birds in the Head” in Catalan), and a member of the international performance group the Wolf in the Winter. In 2018, she completed her PhD Synchronicity and Consciousness in Improvised Performance Art Practice (2019) at Northumbria University (Newcastle, United Kingdom). In 2002, she became director of the cultural association Gresol, and since then has organised international events, meetings, and festivals related to performance art. A founding member of the EU funded project ELAA (European Live Art Archive) based in the University of Girona, she has collaborated with numerous organisations programming performance art and live art events.
