Kamil Guenatri was born in Algeria in 1984. In 2009, he joined Serge Pey’s contemporary writing and performance workshop at Université du Mirail. In 2011, he published his first collection of short stories, “Deux ans, deux visions”, with R.R Écritures. Since 2010, he has organized a number of events in France, and presented his actions in multiple spaces such as Fonds Régional d’Art Contemporain – Les Abattoirs (Toulouse). Since 2014, he has also presented actions and collaborations abroad, including at Month of Performance Art (Berlin, Germany), as well as at various international festivals in Spain, England, the Czech Republic, Portugal and Switzerland. In parallel, he has been staging a series of performances in different galleries, including the National Art Gallery in Sopot (Poland), where the sculptural trace of an action is preserved in the collection. In May 2016, photographs of his work were exhibited at Colombia’s International Performance Biennial. He is assisted by Phi Vo.
