Rose de la Riva is a visual artist and cultural worker born in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montréal. In a sponge-like manner, she soaks everything up, collects experiences, texts and emotions sparked by stories, paintings, plants, and landscapes. The result is a performance-based practice and the production of video works, drawings and installations based on improvisation, theoretical gleaning, and intuitive associations. Her current research focuses on exhaustion and productivity cycles.

Since 2016, her work has taken the form of both solo and collaborative presentations at artist-run centers, festivals, apartments, vacant lots, and wastelands. She has also been actively involved in the auto-workshops collective and Tas Invisible, and in the organization of several DIY performance events. Rose de la Riva holds a BFA in Visual and Media Arts from UQAM (2018), and currently is a MFA candidate at Concordia University.
